Pricing & earnings

Honest numbers on both sides.

No subscriptions, no seats, no minimums. Founders pay per session; testers earn per session. Here's exactly what that looks like.

What founders pay

€20–40 / session

You set the price: €29 is typical for a ~30-minute walkthrough.

  • One session with a vetted tester
  • Session recording (once you add our one-line snippet) + written findings report
  • Post free: pay per session when a tester claims
  • Unclaimed slots never cost you anything
  • The price you set is the price you pay: our 20% fee comes out of the tester's payout, never added on top
  • VAT invoice in your Billing tab

What testers earn

€16–32 / session

You keep 80% of the session price. Most sessions pay in this range, depending on scope.

  • Real money, paid through Stripe, no points or gift cards
  • Released to your Stripe balance a few days after your work is accepted, then out to your bank on Stripe's standard schedule
  • Choose your own hours and session types
  • Build a rating that gets you invited to higher-paying tests
  • You keep 80% of the session price, with your exact payout shown before you claim

You don't pay for work you don't accept.

  • Posting a job is free. You only pay once a tester claims a slot.
  • An unclaimed slot is never charged, however long the job stays open.
  • Not happy with a session? Dispute it. We review it, using the session recording as evidence when one was captured, and refund you in full if the dispute is upheld.

A dispute isn't us taking your word for it and moving on: an admin reviews the actual claim before any money moves, and either side can appeal that ruling once. It's slower than an instant refund button, because it's a real review, not a rubber stamp.

Elsewhere

A dispute usually means a swapped tester, or a refund decided on the client's word alone: there's nothing to check the claim against, so it's take-it-or-leave-it for both sides.

On TestTorch

A dispute is reviewed against the session recording when one exists, and the ruling can be appealed, by either side, not just the one who's unhappy.

Pricing questions.

How am I charged?

Posting a job is free. You pay per session through Stripe Checkout the moment a tester claims a slot. The money is held safely until the work is delivered and accepted.

What if my job isn't filled?

Slots nobody claims never cost you anything. You only pay when a tester actually commits to a session. Jobs also close automatically after the open window you pick when posting.

Do you add VAT?

No, nothing is added on top: the price you set is the total you pay. VAT (21% NL) applies to TestTorch's service fee and is included in it; the tester's share of the price carries no VAT. An invoice is issued for every payment and appears in your Billing tab; we don't email it.

What if a session isn't up to standard?

There's a review window after each session. If the work falls short, you can flag it before the payout releases: we review the claim, using the session recording as evidence when one was captured, and either side can appeal the ruling once.

What does TestTorch charge?

The price you set is the price you pay, nothing added on top. Testers keep 80% of that price (our fee is 20%), and they see their exact payout before they claim a session, so there's never a surprise on either side.
